Located in the Arequipa region of southern Peru, the PV projects are part of the Repartición and the Majes plants and will have an output of 80GWh per yaer. The installations were connected to the Peruvian grid in July.

With an installed capacity of 44MW, the PV plants are noted as being the first major PV solar power project in Latin America.

Marta Martínez, T-Solar CEO, said: “The T-Solar Group is putting down roots in Peru. We are most grateful for the help we have received in this project from the government of Peru and its institutions. The Ministry of Energy & Mining has played a fundamental role in moving it forward, as have the local and regional authorities in Arequipa,” she said.
