The pipeline of grid-use PV projects approved for construction by the Philippines Department of Energy totalled 844.71MW across 38 projects, as of 30 November.
According to the Department of Energy’s monthly announcement of awarded projects, four off-grid projects totalling 1.574MW of capacity were also approved, ranging from 0.03MW to 0.96MW in size. This brought the total PV pipeline for the country up to 846.28MW.

The department also publishes statistics of projects pending approval, of which there were 25 pending grid projects totalling 259MW in capacity and just one pending, 20kW off-grid project as of the end of November.
Statistics for installed capacity of solar PV are not provided in the department's lists.
Companies who had grid PV included on the list of approved projects included Enfinity Philippines Renewable Resources, the Philippines-based division of Belgian developer Enfinity, which had 13 projects adding up to 48MW The company also has 17 grid-use projects on the list of pending projects, adding up to 90MW. However a report in regional news source Malaya Business Insight quoted the company's president Dennis Chan Ibarra as saying that the company had 18 projects totalling 200MW planned for construction over “the next couple of years”.
The approved list also includes three projects of 100MW or more capacity in the region of Luzon; a 150MW project by BWST, a division of Korean manufacturer Yu Jin Optical Electronics, a 105MW project by GreEnergy Power Systems Philippines and SBFZ Solar Power Project, a 100MW power station to be built by Jobin-Sqm Inc.
