QSolar has added a second production line to its manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China. The addition of a second line has doubled production capacity at the site from 20MW to 40MW a year.

“We are very excited with these developments and the speed at which our facilities continue to expand in preparation for the execution of the large LOIs, which may result in purchase orders at the end of 2011,” Andreas Tapakoudes, president and CEO at QSolar, said. “This increased capacity from the Company's own manufacturing facility will lead to increased profit margins and we are anticipating further margin increases when the commercial production of the Kruciwatt cells begins.”
