REC signs 1MW module supply contract for Japanese portfolio

REC is supplying Advantec with 1MW of its PV modules for a portfolio of projects in Japan’s Ehime prefecture. Installation of the Peak Energy Series modules will begin in 2012 and marks REC’s entry into Japan’s utility solar sector.

“We are committed to investing further in Japan and looks forward to the implementation of the new feed-in tariff that will help to finance large scale commercial and industrial installations,” Luc Graré, REC’s senior vice president of sales and marketing cells & modules, said.
