Sainty International Group, Gesolar join forces to build China’s largest rooftop system

Sainty International Group and Gesolar have agreed to join forces and build China’s largest rooftop solar system. The 10MW array is to be located in Siyang, Jiangsu, and will be connected to the grid before the end of 2011.

This second phase of the Siyang project will dwarf the 4MW first phase and generate 10751MWh of electricity a year and 269GWh over the course of its 25-year lifespan. As with the first phase, Gesolar will provide the modules and carry out installation duties.

“With successful experience from Phase I and technical know-how, we can build Phase II better,” said Stephen Tong, Gesolar’s general manager. “China is a big market we can’t miss and we hope to provide more clean energy for our own country.”
