Schott North America has appointed Linda Mayer as its new president and CEO. Mayer became the first woman to head up Schott’s North American subsidiary when she started the role on April 1 and succeeds Gerald Fine, who became a company director and joined its North American advisory board in January.
“The company has a long history of innovation and industry leadership. I hope to build on the momentum they've created over the past few years and lead the company to consistent and strong growth with smart investments and a renewed emphasis on research and development,” Mayer said.
Prior to joining Schott, Mayer served as vice president and general manager at Terex. She has also held positions at Rexnord, the Kohler Company, John Deere and Moen.
