Yude Solar Technologies is a subsidiary of GoodWe, a Chinese PV inverter manufacturer that is diversifying its offering portfolio to include batteries, PV building materials, EV chargers, heat pumps and energy management systems. Listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, GoodWe has a current market cap of around CNY 13.3 billion (US$2 billion) and employs more than 6,000 people internationally.
The Indonesian partnership is part of Yude Solar’s expansion from its native China into APAC. In April 2026, Yude Solar opened an operations centre in Bangkok, Thailand, the company’s formal entry into Southeast Asia and the beginning of what executives described at the time as a “broader global expansion strategy.” Additionally, a meeting between Secretary Ma. Cristina A. Roque of the Philippines government and Yude Solar Technologies’ CEO, Yudong (Bryan) Bae, saw an agreement to expand the Chinese company’s activities in the Philippines.
Speaking of the Yude Solar and SEDAYUSolar joint partnership, Bryan Bae, chief executive officer of Yude Solar, said, “This partnership represents an important step in Yude Solar’s international development.”
SEDAYUSolar was established in 2009, and has developed solar power plants for the Indonesian State Electricity company and facilities in the country for the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. In addition to solar infrastructure for mining, data centres and industrial concerns in Indonesia, SEDAYUSolar also specialises in off-grid solar installations for isolated communities and organisations.
“For more than 17 years, SEDAYU has been committed to developing reliable and sustainable solar energy solutions for Indonesia,” said Fendi Liem, founder and CEO of SEDAYUSolar. “Our partnership with Yude Solar brings together local knowledge and execution capabilities with investment, technology and international project development experience.”
