Skyline Solar system garners CEC eligibility, snags investment from First Hand Technology Value Fund

Skyline Solar has scored two major goals with its announcement that its LCPV Skyline Solar X14 System has been listed by the California Energy Commission (CEC) followed with the news that Firsthand Technology Value Fund made a direct investment in the company.

“Cost is everything when it comes to solar,” noted Kevin Landis, portfolio manager for Firsthand Technology Value Fund. “We believe Skyline Solar's unique approach gives the company the opportunity to become a low-cost leader in the utility-scale PV market.”

The CEC listing allows for the Skyline X14 System to be eligible for California’s performance based incentive program. The CEC news comes just weeks after Skyline received IEC 62688 certification and after the ground-breaking ceremony for its 500kW Skyline X14 System CPV plant in Durango, Mexico.
