SMA Solar appoints new sales chief

Leading PV inverter manufacturer, SMA Solar Technology has recently appointed Martin Kinne to be responsible for sales and service as its Chief Sales and Service Officer (CSSO).

Previously, SMA Chief Executive Officer Pierre-Pascal Urbon has been performing this role on a provisional basis since June 2014.

Kinne was formerly in charge of the region Central Europe at Unify in his capacity as General Manager. Unify is a globally active company providing communication software and services.

According to the SMA Supervisory Board Kinne's international experience comes from an industry sector that has faced fierce competition for many years and noted that Kinne’s expertise in the communication and service segment would fit perfectly with the new structures being established around the world in energy supply.
