German PV manufacturer Solarwatt has signalled its intention to move into the Scandinavian solar market by signing a distribution agreement with Danish firm Solarglas. The agreement will see Solarglas, which is based in Denmark’s second city, Aarhus, market Solarwatt’s modules and system solutions to its growing number of clients in the residential and business sectors.

“We already have experience in developing design concepts for conventional carports and terrace shade systems,” said Solarglas CEO Ole Gregersen. “By including photovoltaic elements, we are taking an important step towards the future. Solarwatt modules complement our design concepts perfectly and also enhance projects from a visual perspective.”

“We are looking forward to working with our new partner,” added Solarwatt’s sales manager, Hendrik Pilz. “Our premium products and experience in the residential segment also enable us to cater directly to the needs of homeowners, who we seek to impress with our quality and service.”

Solarwatt will also be offering a training programme for Danish Solarglas installers in November. Training will take place in the company headquarters in Dresden, where installers will learn about the module manufacturer’s products and services, and also visit its module production line.
