STR Holdings adds two new directors to its board

Robert Chiste and Uwe Krueger are the newly appointed independent directors to STR Holdings board of directors. Chiste will be on the audit committee as the third independent member and Dr. Krueger will serve on the nominating and corporate governance committee.

Chiste is an Executive in Residence with El Dorado Ventures, leading the company’s cleantech activities. He has served as president and CEO of Comverge, Allwaste and American National Power. As a private investor he has founded TriActive, FuelQuest and iMark. Chiste is on the board for AisRe and TriActive, having also served on FuelQuest’s, Franklin Credit Management, Innovative Valve Technologies and Pentacon’s boards. Chiste achieved a BA in mathematics from the College of New Jersey and JD and MBA degrees from Rutgers University.

Dr. Krueger was CEO of Oerlikon from 2007 to 2009. He began with A.T. Kearney and held different positions with Hochtief. Currently, Dr. Krueger is on the advisory board for Zementis and is President of Cleantech Switzerland. He has previously served on the boards of Oerlikon and Hochtief. Krueger completed his BA degrees in chemistry and business administration and his PhD in complex system theory and brain research at the University of Frankfurt.
