SunEdison secures US$300 million credit facility for North American project pipeline

SunEdison has secured a US$300 million credit facility from Deutsche Bank Securities and Rabobank to help fund its planned North American portfolio of utility and rooftop PV systems.

The three-year non-recourse credit facility is one of the largest ever issued for solar projects. Although the terms of the final agreement were not disclosed, the capital is available to SunEdison immediately.

SunEdison is continuing to look for further financial backing for its North American pipeline and even has additional lending opportunities within the Deutsche Bank-Rabobank facility. The company already has more than 500 solar energy systems, with a combined capacity of 300MW.
