The company noted that it had shipped a total of 4.23GW. Domestic orders were around 3.8GW. Sungrow said that it exported around 430MW of PV inverters outside China in 2014, compared to 293MW in 2013, a 47% increase year-on-year. Total sales in 2013 were around 3.8GW.

Cao Renxian, the founder and CEO of Sungrow said: “In 2014, over half of Sungrow’s total exported goods were string inverters. In both the traditional European markets and in new emerging markets with high technical threshold like Japan, the demand for our string inverters have been high. We have seen huge interest in particular for the 60kW inverters, which we believe is down to their excellent efficiency and reliability.”
