Sunvalley Solar lands 176kW commercial solar installation with XL Biofuels

Sunvalley Solar has scored another commercial solar installation; this time with XL Biofuels in Thermal, California. Late last year, Sunvalley was awarded a US$2 million contract for a project in Long Beach, California, which was followed by two more project contracts for Southern California sites.

The Thermal, California project will see Sunvalley develop a 176kW installation, which will produce around 286,996kWh of electricity per year. The project will use solar panels from Jiangsu JiaSheng Photovoltaic Technology and solar inverters from PV Powered.

“The XL Biofuels contract complements the over 1MW of power signed last year and it continues the sales momentum and growth of last year. Sunvalley strives to consistently provide our clients with optimum solar solutions of the highest quality in the most efficient manner,” said James Zhang, CEO of Sunvalley Solar, Inc.

The company notes that the contract is valued at over US$760,000 and will receive support from solar incentive rebates from the local utility company and Federal Tax Cash Grants from the Federal Treasury Department. The PV project is said to begin in mid-2012.
