Researchers from the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB) and Humboldt University Berlin have achieved an efficiency of 24.6% with a copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS) and perovskite tandem solar cell.
Dubbed “MaNiTU”, the Fraunhofer project aimed to identify the most sustainable path for the market launch of tandem solar cells with perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells in the lead.
PV Talk: ISC Konstanz co-founder Radovan Kopecek discusses his belief in bifacial back contact technology as the 'ultimate' c-Si product and why perovskite will not power the energy transition.
