Technic appoints Wilson Xia as new technical director of photovoltaics

Technic has appointed Wilson Xia as its Asia-Pacific technical director of photovoltaics. Xia’s new role will see him working on the research and development, applications engineering and distribution of the company’s TechniSol photovoltaic processing technologies.

Xia arrives at Technic with over 10 years of experience of research and development in the electronic materials industry, having previously held senior management positions at Rohm and Haas, Brady Corp Asia and Nelco Products. Before embarking on his career, Xia completed an undergraduate degree in engineering at Tsinghua University, a Masters degree from Beijing University of Chemical Technology and a PhD from the University of Queensland, Australia.
