Unirac and Canadian Solar Solutions have come together to offer its residential and commercial customers 30MW of Canadian Solar’s PV systems coupled with Unirac’s mounting solutions for rooftop installations in Canada. Canadian Solar will provide the engineering, procurement and construction services for the projects, while Unirac will supply its racking technology. Both companies look to their partnership as a way for their customers to further take advantage of Ontario’s FIT program.

Dr. Shawn Qu, chairman and CEO of Canadian Solar remarked, “By partnering together we are able to offer a compelling turnkey solution. We will help nurture growth of the overall Canadian market by enabling customers to optimize rooftop solar energy generation through a combination of Canadian Solar's distinct PV panels and Canadian Solar Solutions’ additional photovoltaic-related solutions with Unirac's tested and proven solar mounting solutions. The partnership helps assure optimized power production in a rooftop and ground mount environment.”

In addition to its partnership with Canadian Solar Solutions, Unirac has created a new subsidiary: Unirac Canada. The subsidiary began operation earlier this month in Mississauga, Ontario and is managed by Unirac’s CEO, Doug May.

“While we have been manufacturing in Ontario for almost a year now, establishing this full-service subsidiary ensures Unirac’s ability to support Ontario customers and partners locally,” said Doug May, president and CEO of Unirac. “Unirac Canada’s goal is to continually exceed our Canadian customers’ and partners’ expectations, helping them maximize the return on their investments while creating a cleaner environment.”

Unirac Canada will provide Unirac solutions such as its SolarMount, ISYS Ground Mount and ISYS Roof Mount.
