According to WINAICO, ITRI tested its module for PID, UV, mechanical load, thermal cycling and humidity testing as part of more common tests on modules.

The PID test period defined by ITRI was said to have been lengthened to 288 hours, three times the industry standard of 96 hours.

CL Wang, director of R&D at WINAICO said: “The aim of Taiwan Excellent PV award is to celebrate the quality of Taiwanese solar products and increase manufacturers’ global brand awareness. By winning the Taiwan Excellent PV award, our 300W PERC module not only leads the world in 60-cell module efficiency, but also leads in safety and reliability against real world weather impacts.”
