aleo solar expands market share in Greece

aleo solar announced that its market share in Greece has increased to 16%. According to Hellenic Transmission System Operation, of the 38MW of PV power that have been connected to Greece’s national grid, aleo has supplied more than 6MW since 2007. Projects range from commercial, private and rooftop installations to large greenfield facilities.

Jakobus Smit, CEO of aleo solar, explained the company's: "Our internationalization efforts are focused on Europe. We are already a sought-after partner in Greece since we can satisfy all of our customers' demands - including mono- or polycrystalline modules, thin-film modules, inverters or mounting frames. Customers are already benefiting from our expertise in marketing and sales. Over 40 Greek customers have now become part of our aleo power network."

With an encouraging feed-in legislation, the Greek solar market is showing dramatic growth, but aleo notes that it is still being held back from its full potential by excessive formalities.
