China's first BIPV fire station was put into service in Baoding, Hebei, on July 29, featuring a 250kW, 2650m2 solar façade. With an annual generating capacity of 300MWh, the system is expected to reduce the city's carbon emissions by 312 tons per year.

The Seventh Squadron of Baoding City Police Fire Brigade project, which is located on one of Baoding city’s main streets, uses Yingli Green Energy’s patented glass-Panda modules, which are integrated into the curtain walls, offering double-sided generating functions and a higher output rate.
