Gero Wiese joins SOLON AG as COO
Solar module manufacturer SOLON AG has added to its
executive team with the appointment of Dr. Gero Wiese as COO, bringing
the number of company directors to three. Company CEO Thomas Krupke and
CTO Dr. Lars Podlowski make up the other member of the company’s board.
Dr. Wiese was most recently Managing Director for
Gillette Deutschland GmbH, and spent a total of 11 years working with
the company both in the U.S. and Germany. He also held the role of head
of technology and quality for AEG/Matra and was a research assistant at
the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems. He is a mechanical
engineering graduate from Braunschweig in Germany and Waterloo, Canada,
has an M.B.A. from Fontainebleu in France and has also earned a Ph.D.
from Darmstadt University.
SOLON AG is a solar module and photovoltaic systems manufacturer based in Berlin.
