Project Focus: OPDE plans 45MW of solar plants in Mexico

The governor of the State of Durango, Mexico, president of the National Conference of Governors (CONAGO) and representatives of the Board of OPDE have signed a collaboration agreement for the launch of a total of 45MW farms in Mexico. OPDE is responsible for these plants, which are to be constructed and completed by 2013, reports Solarbuzz.

The first of the 1MW PV farms will be located in the logistics and industrial park in Durango, and are expected to be fully operational by the end of 2010. The signed agreement also covers the opening of new branches of the companies OPDE, Proinso and Mecasolar, in the Mexican region within three years.
