ABB to supply inverters for South America project

ABB, an inverter company, has been selected to supply more than 45 of its ULTRA central inverters to the second-largest solar power plant of its kind in South America.

According to the company, these inverters were chosen for their ability to perform in desert environments. Paolo Casini, vice president marketing product group solar of ABB’s power conversion business unit remarked: “The ABB ULTRA inverter was selected for its ability to deliver high performance under the most extreme desert conditions in addition to its ability to meet the demanding maintenance requirements of the harsh environment.”
