Astronergy has unveiled plans to build the world's largest single-building solar system. The grid-connected 10MW system, which will generate 9.8 million kWh per annum, is to be integrated into the new Hangzhou East Railway Station in China at an estimated cost of RMB 270 million.

The Golden Sun Program will account for 8.2MW, while the remaining 1.8MW will fall under the National Solar Photovoltaic Building Demonstration Projects; the system is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2011.
