Chile project receives 1.2MW modules from Jinko Solar

Crystalline module manufacturer, Jinko Solar has supplied 1.2MW of PV modules for a project in Chile.

Developer SolaireDirect Chile operates and maintains the project which began commercial operation in June 2013.

The project provides energy for mining companies and the central interconnected system (SIC) grid, via the spot market, with no secured PPA.

Xiande Li, chairman of JinkoSolar said the contract showed JinkoSolar’s modules durability in desert conditions.  

Royal Smith, operations director of SolaireDirect Chile said: “We are proud to support the Chilean government in their endeavour to bring clean power to Chile, allowing them [to] attain energy security.”
