This summer solar developer Espe Sunparc connected a 10MW PV portfolio, spanning five regions, to Italy's power grid. All 10 projects were installed between July and August and are located in Veneto, Marche, Molise, Lazio and Apulia.
The portfolio is expected to generate 14 million kWh of electricity per annum. Around 40,000 crystalline silicon panels were used during construction and each site will be fitted with Espe’s SSK15 solar trackers.

Espe’s developments are the latest indication of a revival in the fortunes of the downstream sector in Italy; in the last few weeks, SAG Solarstrom has activated its 48MWp Serenissima system and Solarhybrid has unveiled plans for a 123MW solar PV plant in the Puglia.
