Having launched the Vinspec Solar inspection system at the beginning of the year, Vitronic is using EU PVSEC this week to reiterate the need to make manual checking a thing of the past.
As with many inspection systems, getting a good look at the software and its interface can not be underestimated. Vitronic’s inspection system has a modular structure and uses a separate module for each step in the inspection process. The company said that if a new busbar shape changes the cell layout, only a single software module needs to be replaced, while the rest of the software remains unchanged.

This goes further in regards to whether a PV manufacturer wanted to integrate a new inspection criteria, such as contour inspection, again there would be no requirement to replace the entire software, rather just the installation of a new module. This is claimed to ensure the greatest possible flexibility and low costs in new inspection requirements.
