Exosun advised that it had completed construction of its 3.8MW Porette de Nérone power plant, which has now entered the commissioning phase and is expected to produce its first kWh in May. The plant is outfitted with Exotrack HZ solar trackers and is expected, upon grid connection, to generate nearly 6,235MWh of electricity per year.

Exosun was in charge of the projects’ engineering, procurement and construction, while additionally proving the plant’s solar tracking technology. The project is built across 20.5 acres of land with 39 rows of trackers and 11,817 monocrystalline modules. Exosun will be responsible for the plants’ operation and maintenance for two years.

“It was a pleasure collaborating with La Compagnie du Vent, groupe GDF Suez, on this large-scale solar project; now the biggest solar tracking park in France,” commented Frédéric Conchy, CEO of Exosun. “They entrusted us with all aspects of the plants implementation in addition to equipping it with our latest solar tracking technology, the Exotrack 1 axis HZ.”

The company noted that the plant meets the requirements of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems standards. According to Exosun, this is the first solar tracking plant in France to benefit from dual certification.
