First Solar appoints Kathy Weiss as Government Relations VP

First Solar, Inc. has named Kathy Weiss as Vice President of Government Relations to oversee the company’s public policies and manage the company’s state and federal affairs activities.

She joins the company from Centex, where she was Vice
President of Government and Public Affairs. Ms. Weiss has also worked
in similar roles with MeadWestvaco.  She has a B.A. from the University
of California at Los Angeles and an M.P.S. from the Graduate School of
Political Management.
