China Guangdong Nuclear Solar Energy Development has awarded the module supply contract for its upcoming projects in Dunhuang and Qinghe County to JinkoSolar. As sole supplier, Jinko will provide 38MW of its PV modules, with the first 18MW shipment scheduled to be delivered by October 25.

The two PV systems are part of a larger 128MW ground-mounted project, which is owned and operated by CGN-SEDC. Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for the systems are being carried out by China Guangdong Nuclear Engineering.

“This validates our reputation as a large-scale producer of some of the highest quality solar modules available in the market today,” said Xiande Li, chairman of the board of directors at JinkoSolar. “It also represents an important step forward in expanding our global footprint, especially in China where we already have significant reach in a market that is expected to grow rapidly following the nation's new feed-in tariff announcement last month.

“We hope to build a long-term relationship with China Guangdong Nuclear and the various other players in China's solar power plant industry. This is one of the top priorities for our global sales and marketing teams.”
