Jürgen Becker discusses the future of Greek solar energy at Helios conference

Jürgen Becker, state secretary of the German Federal ministry of the environment, pointed out at the Helios Project conference in Athens, that there are several opportunities to accelerate the development of solar energy in order to create new jobs and economic growth in a time of crisis.

The Helios Project is a conference organized by a number of bodies, including the European Commission and the Greek Ministry of environment, energy and climate change and is aimed at the future of solar power in Greece and the possibility of selling Greek solar power to other EU member states.

Becker stated: “If we want to consistently provide an impulse for the economic growth in Greece, the focus will be to improve the cooperation with Helios, the conditions for the expansion of renewable energies in Greece total moment of solar power, despite the significantly higher. solar radiation in Greece almost twice as expensive as in Germany.
