Kyocera has supplied 34MW of PV modules for a 127MW utility-scale PV plant in south western Arizona, the company has announced. The company will provide further modules, manufactured at its San Diego facility, for the project, producing through to 2013.

The modules will equip part of the Arlington Valley solar energy II project in the Hassayampa Substation in Maricopa County, Arizona, which is expected to commence commercial production in late 2013. The project is developed by the LS Power Group and, once completed, the generated energy will be sold to San Diego Gas and Electric.
