Neo Solar Power sales tumble in December: 2011 revenue below 2010

Taiwan-based crystalline solar cell producer, Neo Solar Power (NSP) has reported December, 2011 revenue of approximately US$21.94 million (NT $663 million), down significantly from the previous quarter and year-on-year. Total revenue for 2011 reached approximately US$600.2 million, down from US$634.4 million in 2010.

Monthly revenue in 2011 peaked in February, taking a significant fall in April and remaining roughly flat through September. However, a further steep decline in monthly revenue was seen in October, culminating in December being the worst month for revenue in several years.

In the first 9-months of 2011, NSP posted total revenue of NT $17,550 million, an increase of 31% on year-over-year basis but reported a net loss of NT $1,231million and a diluted EPS of NT$ -3.47. Full results are not yet due.
