According to Wang Baixing, chairman of Zhongli Sci-Tech Group, Zhongli Talesun Solar (Thailand) production plant in Thailand would service plans to invest RMB15 billion (US$2.4 billion) in more than 1GW of PV projects in the country over the next three years.

Zhongli Talesun was said to be aiming to develop and invest in 1.2GW PV grid-connected projects in 2015. The company currently has a cell/module nameplate capacity of around 2GW and predominantly had sourced leading-edge production equipment from Italy, Germany and Japan.
