NEXTracker commissions trackers for 82MW of SunEdison PV plants

PV tracker developer NEXTracker has completed tracker commissioning for SunEdison’s solar PV plants at Pacifico and Choluteca in Honduras with a combined 82MW capacity.

Chief operating officer of solar operations for SunEdison David Springer said the NEXTracker technology has higher energy yield design and provides installation cost savings. It also helps minimise site grading requirements and reduces the cost of maintenanc, he said.

Last month NEXTracker completed a 70MW shipment of single-axis PV trackers to Australia’s largest solar tracking installation owned by Fotowatio Renewable Ventures on the Moree Plains of New South Wales.
