The tender is for design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation and commissioning of the 225MW in a single block on  turnkey basis. O&M must be provided for 15 years.

In related news, Solar Energy Corporation of India has also issued a tender for EPC services on 5MW of solar also under DCR rules at Bharat Dynamics Limited, Ibrahimpatnam, in the state of Telangana. This includes five years of O&M services.

The DCR was a major support mechanism from the Indian government for its local manufacturers, but it was contested by the US at the WTO and is due to be srapped on 14 December. This week, PV Tech also looked in detail at the ongoing anti-dumping investigation, which is another attempt to protect local manufacturers.
