Talesun has launched a new double glass photovoltaic panel with aluminum frame that has achieved TÜV certification. The ‘TWINKLE’ (TD660P) 60-cell multicrystalline panel uses the aluminum frame as the sealing point for the panel’s edges, the double glass modules are therefore weather-resistant and easier to install and transport.

The edges of double glass modules without an aluminum frame are commonly sealed with glue/resin. However, encapsulating materials delaminating or moisture penetrating might happen to some extent. Panel transportation can also result in secondary damage, such as junction box detachment and micro-cracked solar cells.

Solution

The TD660P double glass panels use frame and silica gel to seal the edge. They come with a 30 years weatherability warranty, relatively safe transportation with less than 0.3% breakage rate of arrival goods, and flexible and solid installation, according to Talesun.

Applications

All types of the power plants, such as ground power stations, rooftop solar plants and floating power plants that are deployed in harsh environments such as desert, seaside and waterfront with high chance of corrosion to the panels.

Platform

The TD660P double glass multicrystalline panels come in 250W to 265W 60-cell (6×10) 1,000VDC configurations. Panel efficiencies range from 15.2% to 16.1%. Front-side tempered glass is 2mm thick and has high transmission. The back-side 2mm thick glass is tempered. The frame is anodized aluminum and the junction box IP65/IP67 compliant.
