Q-Cells, IHK develop training programme for employees

A select group of Q-Cells employees will be presented with certificates for solar cell production monitoring by the German Minister of Finance, Dr. Reiner Haseloff, today after attending a training seminar organised by IHK Bildungszentrum Halle-Dessau. The 10 employees will be charged with monitoring yield quality during cell manufacturing.

“Congratulations to all graduates. Both you and your employer will benefit from this qualification,” said Haseloff. “At the same time, I am delighted that this practical training programme is evidence of the sustainability of a project subsidized by the state as well as the EU.“

The training programme was created two years ago by IHK and Q-Cells as part of an attempt to develop their respective workforces through industry-specific qualifications. Work is already underway for the next training seminar and the development of a further IHK training programme for specialist staff in the industry.

”We will continue to invest in qualified specialists”, said Nedim Cen, CEO of Q-Cells. “The training programmes we are developing in conjunction with IHK Bildungszentrum benefit not only our company but the entire solar industry.”

IHK managing director, Bärbel Schärff, added, “As a subsidiary of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, we have been helping companies in our region since 1991 to provide them with the specialist staff they need. Our proximity to practice is a major factor in our success.”
