Renewable energy solutions provider Satcon Technology has entered into a strategic manufacturing agreement with Sanmina-SCI, the company has announced. Under the agreement, Sanmina will begin producing Satcon’s PowerGate Plus 50, 100, 250 and 500kW inverters well as the company’s Prism Platform solutions at it’s Canadian factory. The production of the utility-scale inverters in Ontario, Canada, is necessary to comply with Ontario’s FiT program.

Pete DeGraff, Satcon’s executive vice president of worldwide sales, sales and marketing, commented on the collaboration: “The Canadian Solar market has developed steadily over the past three years and is poised for significant growth in the future. Our strategic partnership with Sanmina-SCI enables us to continue to deliver the industry’s highest performing, highest quality solutions to the Ontario market and maintain our leadership position as Canada’s largest commercial and utility-scale inverter manufacturer.”
