Suntech Power’s Just-Roof building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) module has been approved by French certification body CEIAB (Comité d'Evaluation de l'Intégration au Bâti). CEIAB is France’s official evaluation committee for all BIPV products, and its endorsement sees Just Roof gain eligibility for the country’s highest available feed-in-tariff.

“This approval from CEIAB is another positive milestone for Just-Roof in France and is testimony to the reliability and quality of our BIPV system. This assures our partners and customers that Suntech’s best-selling BIPV product is indeed the right choice,” said Jean-Yves Lindheimer, Suntech’s head of French operations.

CEIAB’s certification leaves the Suntech BIPV module ideally placed to take advantage of France’s soon-to-be-implemented RT 2012 legislation. The law stipulates that from January 2012 all commercial and residential buildings in France must comply with regulations governing their carbon dioxide emissions and energy consumption levels.
