Public institutions and private companies bought a record number of renewable energy last year, according to BloombergNEF’s (BNEF) 1H 2023 Corporate Energy Market Outlook.

PV tracker solutions provider Nextracker has set its initial public offering (IPO) price at US$24 per share, raising a total of US$638 million.

Renewables asset owner Brookfield Renewable has reported 2022 net income of US$138 million, improving from a loss in the same period a year earlier of US$66 million. Whilst in Q4 2022, it recorded net income of US$60 million, increasing from US$33 million in Q4 2021.

Renewables supplied 88% of electricity consumption in Portugal last month but PV only accounted for 4%.

US electric power and natural gas company Duke Energy has announced an expansion plan to allow customers to supplement their power usage with renewable power completely.
