The Saudi Power Procurement Company has released a RFQ for the fifth round of solar projects with a total capacity of 3.7GW.

JinkoPower has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Saudi Power Procurement Company for the 400MW Tabarjal solar PV project.

Solar developers ACWA Power and Jinko Power have both penned power purchase agreements in Saudi Arabia, with the country aiming to launch 15GW of projects in the next two years.

Connection of 300MW venture by ACWA Power and AlGihaz comes after their world-record bid of 8.781 halalas/kWh (US$2.34/kWh) in the first round of Saudi Arabia's renewable tender programme.
