US energy company Southern Power has commissioned its 150MW South Cheyenne Solar project in Laramie County, in the state of Wyoming.

The US Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) has called on the US Congress to accelerate legislative reform for solar projects in the US.

Solar accounted for 53% of all new electricity-generating capacity in 2023, making up over half of new generating capacity for the first time.

The legislation Assembly Bill 2619 aims to restore incentives for residents who generate clean power for the grid.
