Solar technology company Nextracker has secured a deal to supply 125MW of its NX Horizon trackers to a number of Spanish project sites owned by independent power producer (IPP) Solaria.
Firm eyeing crown of resurging PV market taps Swiss offtaker in 10-year deal that will cover three installations, two in Castilla y León and a third in Castilla-La Mancha.
The funding will go towards the development of four plants contracted to generate energy for Spanish oil giant Repsol and move the manufacturer-turned-developer closer to its aim of deploying 3GW by 2023.
Former will deploy 1.64GW of PV as part of 3GW pipeline in Teruel while latter secures preliminary grid go-ahead for 450MW installation in Guadalajara.
Manufacturing roots, staying small, patience with PPAs and avoiding grid speculation will all help seize crown of Europe’s hottest PV market, firm tells PV Tech.
