Sungrow Power Supply has introduced the SG250HX, the world’s most powerful 1500Vdc string inverter, which is optimized for hilly, utility-scale installations and designed for bifacial modules and tracker systems.
Leading PV inverter manufacturer Huawei has confirmed that it has been selection to provide it’s fully digitalized ‘FusionSolar’ smart PV solution to Spain’s first subsidy-free PV power plant, being built by renewables firm, BayWa r.e.
SMA Solar has introduced the latest Sunny Central 2750-EV-US inverter, which is said to have 10% more power than previous models enabling maximum power density and integration. The Sunny Central 2750-EV-US has also achieved UL 62109 listing.
Major PV inverter manufacturer Sungrow Power Supply Co is targeting the MENA region with its latest 3.125MW 1500VDC Turnkey Station as well as its SG125HV, the world's most powerful 1500VDC string inverter after showcasing them at the World Future Energy Summit being held at the Abu Dhabi this week.
GCL System Integration Technology (GCL-SI) has launched its first modular PV power plant system. The ‘Super 2.5 MW Solar Block’ system utilizes GCL-SI’s 96-cell modules with a specially developed horizontal single axis tracker to accommodate the large-area modules as well as an all-in-one Inverter Power Container for 1500V DC system voltage.
Leading ‘Silicon Module Super League’ (SMSL) member JinkoSolar has raised its Potential Induced Degradation (PID) resistance test metrics for its standard 1,000V and its 1,500V solar modules, using an extended IEC62804 standard.
Sungrow’s 1500VDC string inverter is designed to significantly reduce installation and balance of system costs for utility-scale PV systems. Sungrow was the first inverter manufacturer to introduce a 1500VDC string inverter with its SG80HV, which has a power output of 80KW. The latest inverter, SG125HV, puts 125kW of capacity in a suitcase-sized cabinet weighing just 68kg. At a higher rated voltage, the SG125HV is claimed to further reduce installation and balance of system costs.
