Day4 Energy has completed the delivery of a turnkey 2.4MW photovoltaic power plant for Gunther Heiss Solar in Germany. A local Volksbank, backed by Deutsche Zentral-Genossenschaftsbank, Frankfurt am Main, financed the project.

The power plant includes 12,600 48MC Day4 modules, which are installed as a roof-mounted application. The energy produced from this project will be sold to the local grid provider under the German feed-in-tariff law (EEG).

“The successful completion of this project adds to our track record and will be another excellent project to demonstrate the value of our turn-key solutions and the Day4 technology”, said George Rubin, president of Day4 Energy.

“We are extremely pleased with the final product and look forward to further collaborations with the Day4 Team”, said Gunther Heiss, president of Gunther Heiss Solar. Heiss Solar located in Emmingen, is a German company focused on the business of tree nurseries. Heiss has developed a concept to cultivate ginseng plants that prefer shading to sunlight for optimal growth and therefore require extensive roofs. The combined investment into the roof infrastructure and its power generation capability is a unique solution to the project

Day4 Energy was responsible for the design, engineering and construction of the PV power plant together with one of its leading German based channel partners.
