EDF Energies Novelles Israel plans 18MW of PV capacity in Israel

EDF Energies Novelles Israel, the Israeli subsidiary of French renewable energy firm EDF Energies Nouvelles, is reportedly planning to install three solar plants in Israel.

According to French news site Silicon Wadi, the plants will have a total capacity of 18MW and will be located in Gvulot, Nahal Oz and Lahav. The largest of the three will be located at Gvulot with a capacity of 8.5MW. The Nahal Oz plant will have a capacity of 6MW and the Lahav plant will have a capacity of 3.2MW. In total, around 75,000 PV modules will be installed at the three sites.

The news site also revealed that the plants will become operational in around six months and require an investment of INS270 million (US$72.4 million).
