Gintech’s solar cell sales continue decline

Taiwan-based solar cell producer, Gintech Energy Corp reported a third consecutive slump in monthly sales. 

Gintech reported sales in August, 2014 of NT$869 million (US$29.0 million), compared to NT$982 million (US$32.7 million) in the previous month.

However, Gintech’s sales have shown a marked decline since May when sales reached NT$1,705 million (US$56.9 million) and much worse than rivals such as Neo Solar Power. 

Taiwanese solar cell producer sales declines in recent months had been put down to weaker orders from Chinese module manufacturers ahead of US anti-dumping rulings.
