Indian solar tenders ramp up with another 950MW in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh

Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has tendered another 950MW of solar in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

The Request for Selection (RfS) for 750MW of PV at the Kadapa Solar Park in Andhra Pradesh, comes under NSM Phase II, Batch IV, Tranche XV. There are three 250MW projects on offer.

The Request for Selection (RfS) for 200MW of PV at Pavagada Solar Park, Karnataka, comes under NSM Phase II, Batch IV, Tranche XIV. There are four projects of 50MW capacity each up for grabs.

Projects from both tenders will be set up on a Build Own Operate (BOO) basis.

Earlier in the day, SECI also tendered 275MW of solar in Uttar Pradesh. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is now making great strides in its efforts to tender 17GW between the short period of November 2017 and March this year.
