Researchers in Japan have undertaken a comprehensive study to test the degradation of perovskite solar cells in extreme heat and humidity.

The report said that tandem modules need a minimum efficiency of 25% to be competitive with other solar technologies on price.

The plans say the company intends to build a 100MW production line for “lightweight and flexible perovskite solar cells” by 2027.
